Challenge

The challenge for this project was to create the branding for a hotel located on Shadow Mountain Lake, Colorado, as well as the restaurant inside the hotel. Assets for the hotel include a logo, color palette, and font system, along with a designed business card, letterhead, and website homepage. Assets for the restaurant include a logo, color palette, and font system, along with a designed menu and a dedicated page on the Vesta website.

Process

The branding process involved creating moodboards, establishing a target audience, defining a true line and tagline, and identifying the core purpose, voice, and tone. Through this research, a reassuring and connected tone was chosen to create a brand that offers a getaway for families to relax and bond while being surrounded by nature.

The resulting brand identity is a cohesive design for both the hotel and restaurant, centered around creating a relaxing environment where families can come together and feel at ease.
